Oat Milk Smoothies 3 Ways

Make three different delicious smoothies using super smooth and delicious lactose-free oat milk!

This post was made in partnership with The Quaker Oats Company, but as always all opinions are my own and I appreciate your support!

Oat milk or beverage as it’s referred to is the newest player in the plant-based beverage scene and is just as versatile as all of the others, plus has a nutritional benefit that you’re going to want to know about!

Also, if you prefer to use lactose-free milk, Oat Beverage is a great option and adds a new level of smoothness to smoothies!

Below you’ll find recipes for a kale berry, green machine and pumpkin smoothie made with Quaker Oat Beverage that are perfect for warmer weather and offer added nutrition benefits!

What is Oat Beverage?

Quaker’s Oat Beverage is a lactose-free, dairy alternative drink. It is a great plant-based option for those who stay away from lactose.

Each 8 oz. serving of Quaker’s Oat Beverage has .75 grams of a soluble fiber called beta-glucan from oat bran. Studies show 3 grams or more of soluble fiber daily from oat bran, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease.

Experts recommend eating 25-38 grams of fiber a day from fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Unfortunately, most of us are not getting enough of this nutrient that can help keep things moving throughout the digestive tract.

I’m a huge proponent of upping our fiber intake overall, and this topic is something I focus on with my clients. Oat Beverage is a good source of fiber with 4 grams per 8oz. serving from oat bran and chicory root extract. Getting a little more fiber by using Quaker Beverage is an easy and delicious addition to the diet that I’m all for!

What Does Oat Beverage Taste like?

Oat beverage has a smooth and delicious taste and texture. That extra smoothness really works perfectly for using it in smoothies and smoothie bowls!

You don’t have to sacrifice taste when swapping Quaker Oat Beverage for other dairy or plant-based options, it is available in three delicious flavors—Original, Original Unsweetened and Vanilla.

How can I use Oat Beverage?

Quaker’s Oat Beverage is super smooth and has a delicious taste and texture. Over the past couple of months I’ve been experimenting with it in my coffee, in smoothies, smoothie bowls and baked goods!

You can use it the same ways you would use regular milk or any other plant-based milk and feel good knowing it’s an excellent source of calcium, vitamin D and a good source of fiber from oat bran and chicory root extract (per 8 oz. serving).
